Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 7-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Georgia, starting Dec 21, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call shifts from 7a to 7a, where you will manage current GI patients, handle new emergency department and inpatient consults, perform procedures, and round on inpatients, ensuring comprehensive care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cover current GI patients and consults, with hand-off from local GIs.
  • Handle new emergency department and inpatient consults/needs.
  • Round on inpatients and perform procedures as needed.
  • Provide bread and butter GI care.
  • Manage 100% adult inpatient cases; pediatric cases may be seen in the emergency room.
  • ERCP training preferred.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
  • Applicants must possess prior GI privileges at St. Marys if not currently ERCP-trained.
