Job Description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist Physician for a 7-day assignment in Georgia. Our client requires coverage for 24-hour shifts with rounding, including weekend responsibilities. You will cover current and new Emergency Department and inpatient gastroenterology consults, rounding on inpatients and performing necessary procedures for adult patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cover current gastroenterology patients and consults, as handed off by local GI staff.
- Handle new Emergency Department and inpatient gastroenterology consults and needs.
- Round on all inpatients and perform procedures as needed.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage with rounding, including weekend shifts.
- Manage 100% adult inpatient cases; pediatric patients may be seen in the Emergency Department.
Additional Information
- Board Certifications: Gastroenterology
- EMR: Epic
- Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Controlled Substances Registration (CSR), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Special Requirements: ERCP training is preferred. Only those with prior GI privileges at the facility will be considered if not currently ERCP-trained.

- Call Schedule: Call coverage with 24-hour shifts and rounding, including weekend requirements.
