Job Description

Our client in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 30-day assignment beginning Aug 1, 2026. This role features a varied schedule, with OR arrival at 6:45 AM and case start at 7:00 AM, concluding at various times from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The Anesthetist will manage a broad scope of cases, including General Surgery, Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Endoscopy, GI, Urology, Pediatrics ENT (ages 2+), and Robotics, while specifically being exempt from procedures such as spinals, epidurals, and nerve blocks.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia services for a diverse patient population.
  • Manage cases including General Surgery, Obstetrics and C Sections, Orthopedics, Endoscopy, GI, Urology, Pediatrics ENT (ages 2+), and Robotics.
  • Note: The Anesthetist will not perform Spinals, Epidurals, Nerve Blocks, Upper/Lower Blocks, or Fiber Optics. These procedures are managed by the MDA.

  • The EMR system used is Epic.
  • Shift hours begin with OR arrival at 6:45 AM, case start at 7:00 AM, with end times varying at 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM, or 7:00 AM.
