Job Description
Our client in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Medical Oncologist for a 90-day assignment. This role involves preferred coverage of 2 to 4 weeks on-site each month, an outpatient clinic schedule of 4 to 5 days per week, and a 1:4 call rotation requiring inpatient rounding. The Physician will primarily manage new and follow-up oncology patients and benign hematology patients, including required on-site hospital rounding during call weekends.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage new and follow-up oncology patients
- Provide care for benign hematology patients
- Conduct on-site hospital rounding during call weekends
- Maintain an outpatient clinic schedule of 4 to 5 days per week
Additional Information
- Board Certifications: Medical Oncology
- Inpatient/Outpatient: Clinic and Call setting
- Call Schedule: At least 1:4 call, running Friday 8:00 a.m. through the following Friday 8:00 a.m., requiring weekend coverage and on-site hospital rounding; Out of house call
- Patients per day: 15 to 20
- LOA: 90 Days
- Staffing Mix: Full-time Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Assistant, and Chemotherapy-certified RN staff in the infusion clinic
