Physician - Neonatologist

Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Neonatologist for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in California beginning on Dec 29, 2025. This opportunity involves NICU care with in-house shift coverage, including day, night, and 24-hour shifts on both weekdays and weekends. Candidates must have recent experience, an active California license, and NICU expertise.

• Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (day shift)
• Monday-Friday 3pm-9am (night shift)
• Monday-Friday 24-hour shift (combining the above)
• Weekend Shifts:
• Friday 3pm-Saturday 9am
• Saturday 9am-Sunday 9am
• Sunday 9am-Monday 9am

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide high-acuity care in a Level 4 NICU setting
• Participate in a collaborative team for 24/7 neonatal nurse practitioner coverage
• Deliver in-house coverage for assigned shifts as scheduled
• Maintain documentation in accordance with facility requirements and protocols
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards
• Complete prescreening and maintain an updated CV with all gaps explained

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Neonatology required
• Active California license required
• Recent Neonatology caseload experience within the past 12 months required
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Completion of prescreen questionnaire required
