Job Description
Our client in Virginia is actively seeking a dedicated Neonatologist for an inpatient 3-day assignment, commencing Dec 30, 2026. This vital role involves comprehensive day and night shift coverage, focusing on critical procedures such as high-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG, and specialized care for pediatric surgical patients. Please note, the assignment specifically excludes ECMO or other cardiac surgery, with the exception of PDA ligations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform high-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV)
- Administer inhaled nitric oxide
- Provide therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG
- Manage pediatric surgical patients
- Perform PDA ligations; ECMO and other cardiac surgery cases are excluded

- Setting: Inpatient
- Shift hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Call Schedule: No Call
- LOA: 3 Days
- Staffing Mix: The team includes 6 full-time Neonatologists, with 2 providing day coverage (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM) and 1 in-house for night coverage (5:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
