Job Description
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist Physician for a 98-day assignment in Montana, starting Oct 6, 2026. This role involves a demanding week on/week off 24/7 inpatient schedule, including critical STEMI call. The successful candidate will manage elective cases, perform catheterizations, place temporary pacemakers, and be responsible for ECG reads, inpatient echoes, and stress test monitoring.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24/7 inpatient coverage with a week on/week off schedule, including STEMI call.
- Manage elective cases, averaging around 5 per week.
- Perform catheterizations (right and left heart cath, PCI, iFR, IVUS as needed) for STEMIs, NSTEMIs, valve disease, and cardiomyopathies.
- Place temporary pacemakers and arrange transfers for permanent pacemakers.
- Interpret ECGs within the hospital, excluding the emergency department.
- Monitor inpatient echoes and stress tests, and read assigned Holter reports.
- Place Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) as required.

- Inpatient only setting.
- Schedule is a week on/week off, 24/7, including STEMI call.
- Anticipate managing approximately 5 elective cases weekly, with overall service rarely exceeding 10 patients.
- Primary care for most patients is handled by hospitalists, with direct admissions primarily for STEMI patients.
- The facility utilizes Epic/Cupid for cath reports, along with dedicated ECG reading and echo systems.
