Job Description
Our client in Vermont is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for a 5-day assignment beginning May 31, 2026. This role involves 24-hour solo coverage, with typical working hours from 12 to 15 hours and the remainder on call. The physician will be responsible for emergent intubations, vent management, and central lines, ensuring comprehensive patient care in a rural hospital setting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour solo coverage for a rural hospital.
- Manage emergent intubations, vent management, and central lines.
- Handle swing beds, which are included in the acute bed count.
- Manage daily discharges.
- Maintain an average length of stay (LOS) for Med/Surg patients of 3.8 days.
- Utilize provided sleeping amenities nearby or on-site during on-call hours.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Hospital Medicine is required.
- The facility utilizes the Allscripts EMR system.
