Job Description
We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician for a 10-day assignment in Maine, beginning May 14, 2026. This role involves 24-hour solo coverage at a rural hospital, typically requiring 12-15 hours of active work with the remainder on call, supported by an overnight Nocturnist. The Physician will be responsible for managing a diverse patient census and performing critical procedures including central lines, vent management, and emergent intubations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour solo coverage for a rural hospital
- Work approximately 12-15 hours per shift with the remainder on call, supported by an overnight Nocturnist
- Manage a varied patient census, including admissions and critical events
- Perform required procedures including Central Lines, Vent Management, Emergent Intubations, Lumbar Puncture, Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
