Job Description
Our client in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist for a 70-day assignment. This role involves clinic duties Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, providing one weekday inpatient consult and night coverage including day clinic, and managing weekend call from Friday 8 AM to Monday 8 AM. The physician will be responsible for comprehensive hematology/oncology care, seeing approximately 12 to 15 patients daily for new and follow-up appointments, and handling an average of 5 admissions while on call.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care in a clinic setting.
- Manage 12-15 patients per day, including new and follow-up appointments.
- Perform weekday inpatient consults and provide night coverage.
- Participate in weekend call schedule, managing an average of 5 admissions.
- Maintain availability for at least three days per week.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Hematology is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience with Epic Beacon EMR system.
- Mixed setting with clinic and call responsibilities.
- Call schedule includes one weekday for inpatient consults and night coverage, plus weekend out-of-house call from Friday 8 AM to Monday 8 AM.
- Anticipated patient volume of 12-15 per day.
- LOA: 70 Days
- Collaborate with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team.
