Job Description
Our client in California seeks an experienced Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment. This role involves managing patient evaluations, diagnostics, and systemic treatment for benign and malignant blood disorders, along with multidisciplinary coordination. The schedule includes regular clinic hours and an out-of-house call rotation, requiring availability one out of every three weeks, with 24-hour call on weekends.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Patient evaluations and new consultations
- Diagnostics and staging
- Systemic treatment management
- Benign and malignant blood disorder care
- Multidisciplinary coordination and follow-up
Additional Information
- Required Board Certifications: Hematology, Medical Oncology
- Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- EMR: Epic
- Setting: Clinic and Call
- Call Schedule: Out of house call, 1 out of every 3 weeks, with 24-hour weekend call. Physicians are expected to respond by phone only and would not be called back onsite after hours or on the weekend.
