Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for an exciting 30-day assignment in California, starting Jun 15, 2026. Our client requires a professional to commit to six 12-hour shifts monthly, specifically from 11a-11p in POD B and 9a-9p in POD C. This role involves comprehensive duties such as managing belly pain, blood work, prescription refills, sick visits, and low-risk chest pain cases in POD B. Additionally, the Physician Assistant will perform triage, patient intakes, and ER placement in POD C, playing a crucial part in patient flow and care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Commit to six 12-hour shifts per month.
  • Work from 11a-11p in POD B alongside an RN.
  • Manage cases involving belly pain, blood work, prescription refills, and sick visits.
  • Evaluate patients presenting with chest pain who have no associated risk factors.
  • Provide care for patients who do not require continuous monitoring.
  • Work from 9a-9p in POD C.
  • Perform triage duties for the waiting room.
  • Conduct patient intakes.
  • Facilitate patient placement back into the emergency room.
