Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Dentist for a 90-day assignment in Oklahoma. The selected clinician will work a Monday - Friday schedule, primarily focusing on examining, diagnosing, and developing comprehensive treatment plans for patients. Key responsibilities include proficient electronic documentation of services and providing general dentistry care within an outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients.
- Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchased Referred Care vendors within appropriate IHS guidelines.
- Proficiently document services utilizing the appropriate electronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete all required administrative paperwork within 24-hours of patient visit.
- Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and administrative policies, as directed.
- Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department health care providers on an as needed basis.
- Provide dental services, make preliminary diagnoses, direct, prescribe or provide treatment, or arrange for specialized dental care or patient referral as required, following Indian Health Services guidelines for referrals.
- Assume responsibility for the diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients and emergency cases in the capacity of a staff dentist.
