Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Dentist for a 125-day assignment in Montana. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, excluding Federal Holidays. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for patients, providing comprehensive dental services, and accurately documenting all services electronically. Our client requires a professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen.
• Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchased Referred Care vendors within appropriate IHS guidelines.
• Electronically document services utilizing the appropriate electronic medical record system for patient encounters.
• Complete all required administrative paperwork within 24-hours of patient visit, including electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusual occurrences, and peer review, as required.
• Be responsible for actions necessary for The Joint Commission (TJC) standard compliance and administrative policies, as directed.
• Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department heath care providers on an as needed basis.
• Provide dental services as needed, make preliminary diagnoses, direct, prescribe or provide treatment or arrange for specialized dental care or patient referral as required, following Indian Health Services guidelines for referrals.
• Assume responsibility for the diagnosis, care and treatment of patients and emergency cases in the capacity of a staff dentist.

• Case types: Bread and butter dentistry, including fillings, exams, and simple and surgical extractions.
