Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment in California, starting Aug 10, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7am, including on-call duties, with responsibilities encompassing surgery first assist, hospital rounding, rooming, and charting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform surgery first assist duties
  • Conduct hospital rounding
  • Participate in on-call rotation (page/call if needed)
  • Manage patient rooming and charting
  • Cover general surgery cases
  • Perform vein harvesting
  • Round on patients daily during shifts
  • Handle cases including CABG, AVRs, and Lung procedures
