We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist for a 90-day assignment in South Carolina, beginning Apr 1, 2026. This vital role involves providing comprehensive clinical and surgical anesthesiology services, including support for complex operative procedures across cardiac, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases. The physician will also manage acute and chronic pain services and emergency airway management, working a consistent 7:30am-4pm schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive clinical anesthesiology services for scheduled clinics and surgeries, ensuring timely presence.
Deliver anesthesia care for a wide range of operative services including cardiac surgery, orthopedic joint replacement, major vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, urologic, and ophthalmologic operations.
Offer clinical care for procedures in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, gastrointestinal, radiological suites (including MRI), and electroconvulsive therapy.
Provide primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay unit, acute and chronic pain management services, and emergency airway management.
Conduct preoperative evaluations and manage intraoperative complications.
Perform various anesthesia techniques including intravenous conscious/moderate sedation, local and regional anesthesia, and peripheral nerve blocks.
Manage fluid, electrolyte, metabolic, body temperature, and cardiovascular parameters.
Execute basic and complicated airway management, invasive monitoring, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
Administer injections such as joint and bursa sac, trigger point, and a variety of spinal, plexus, and sympathetic blocks.
Adhere to all medication policies and provide coordinated discharge education and follow-up instructions.
Additional Information
Board Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
