Job Description

Our client in Pennsylvania is seeking an Urgent Care Physician for a 124-day assignment beginning Jun 15, 2026. This role involves providing urgent care triage, assessment, and comprehensive treatment for adult acute illnesses and minor injuries during 0800-2000 shifts. Physicians will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patient care within the urgent care setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care triage and assessment, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests as appropriate and recommending treatment.
  • Document clinical assessments, treatment decisions, medications ordered, diagnostic tests, and referral consultations for every patient encounter using the electronic comprehensive patient record system (CPRS) on the day of the encounter.
  • Provide appropriate stabilization prior to, or in concert with, transfer to a medical facility able to provide the required level of care for patients needing higher-level services.
  • Offer consultation and instruction to referring physicians regarding clinically appropriate care, determining the appropriate course of treatment and communicating with referring clinicians.
  • Adhere to all established medication policies and procedures.
  • Ensure mechanisms are in place for notification of test results for patients receiving care.
  • Provide discharge education and follow up instructions for Urgent Care Center patients.
