Physician Assistant - Urgent Care

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 30-day assignment in PA, starting Nov 2, 2026. This role involves covering multiple urgent care sites with shifts from Mon-Sun, 8a-8p. The Physician Assistant will work independently, managing typical urgent care cases such as cold/flu, minor injuries, and performing procedures including suturing, splinting, X-rays, and drawing blood, referring high acuity patients to the ER.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care for urgent care patients, including those with cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, and minor burns.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage (I&Ds), splinting, X-rays, EKGs, drawing blood, and initiating IVs.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Travel between multiple urgent care sites within a 30-mile radius.
• Refer high acuity cases to the local emergency room.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
• Experience with Epic EMR system.
• Must be comfortable working independently.
