Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment starting Nov 2, 2026, in West Virginia. The client is looking for a dedicated provider to work 12-hour shifts (8a-8p), evaluating and treating patients presenting with common urgent care conditions like cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns, along with performing splints and referring high acuity cases to the local emergency room.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with common urgent care conditions such as cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns.
• Perform minor procedures including splints.
• Refer high acuity cases to the local emergency room as appropriate.

• Board Certification: Urgent Care
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Volume: Average of 3-4 patients per hour
• Staffing Mix: Sites are staffed with 1-3 providers per day; remote physician available for escalation if no physician is on-site.
