Job Description
Our client in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 60-day assignment. This full-time role involves 40 hours per week, working 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with duties split between two facilities. The successful candidate will provide professional mental health care for inmates/residents, including psychological screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and crisis interventions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through record review and clinical interviews.
- Collaborate with mental health teams and other clinical staff to ensure integrated treatment and patient care.
- Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans for inmates.
- Perform regular rounds in confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and treatment needs.
- Apply a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques.
- Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention services to inmates.
- Consult with interdisciplinary staff to understand and address inmate behavioral and mental health changes.
