Physician - Pain Management

Job Description

• Admit and coordinate all aspects of care for hospitalized medical patients including:
• Admission, including history and physical examinations.
• Appropriate placement within the Hospital.
• Evaluation and treatment, including the ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies, including laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and electrocardiographic examinations, and the administration of medications normally considered part of the practice of hospital medicine.
• Discussion of end-of-life performances / advanced care planning.
• Consultations with sub-specialist.
• Timely and proactive discharge planning.
• Coordination of care with primary care physicians.
• Discharge including ensuring appropriate follow-up is arranged.
• Perioperative care.
• Additional procedures include:
• Moderate sedation
• Fluoroscopy
• Intubation
• Surgical implantation/revision/removal of
• Spinal cord simulator leads and generator
• Spinal medication delivery pumps and catheter (continuous epidural infusions)
• Acupuncture/Acupressure
• Perform and interpret electrodiagnostic procedures, such as electromyography, and nerve conduction studies.

• Board Certifications: Pain Management
• EMR: CPRS
• Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: No Call
• LOA: 249 Days
• Staffing Mix: Works with surgeons, mid-levels, and registered nurses
