Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pain Management Physician for a 36-day assignment in Illinois. Our client requires coverage with a schedule of Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM onsite, and Wednesdays potentially involving a half-day clinic followed by call coverage. This role focuses exclusively on providing outpatient interventional pain management services and performing a variety of advanced procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide outpatient interventional pain management services
- Evaluate patients and determine appropriate interventional treatment plans
- Perform fluoroscopy-guided and other image-guided pain procedures
- Follow up with patients after procedures and address clinical questions or concerns
- Provide consultations and assist with overflow cases as needed
- Perform interventional procedures such as lumbar epidural steroid injections, cervical epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, and facet joint injections
- Conduct radiofrequency ablations and medial branch blocks
- Administer hip and other joint injections
- Perform other interventional pain procedures within the physician's scope of practice
- Focus on evaluating patients and performing outpatient interventional pain procedures, with patient follow-up as needed
- No general anesthesia responsibilities
- No chronic pain medication management or prescribing
