Job Description

We are seeking an experienced locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 60-day assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Feb 2, 2026, and offers a schedule of roughly 2 to 3 weeks per month with early morning OR arrivals and varying end times. Candidates must have hospital-based experience, particularly in low-income environments, and be comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary anesthesia team.

  • Schedule: Approximately 2 to 3 weeks per month, 6:45am OR arrival, 7:00am case start, end times at 3:00pm, 5:00pm, or 7:00pm


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care in a hospital-based setting
  • Manage cases in collaboration with medical direction from the supervising anesthesiologist
  • Adhere strictly to outlined limitations: no spinals, epidurals, nerve blocks, upper/lower blocks, or fiber optics (these are conducted by the MDA)
  • Deliver care to patients from diverse backgrounds, including low-income populations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols and safety standards


Additional Information

  • Must have active CRNA license in North Carolina
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Hospital-based experience required; outpatient-only experience not accepted
  • Experience working in low-income environments strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
