Job Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This opportunity begins on Oct 22, 2025, with a 40-day contract and requires coverage of 24-hour call shifts from 8a to 8a, averaging 20 shifts per month. The position involves providing care in a level 2 OB unit with approximately 20-30 deliveries per month, and includes consultations for OB/GYN-related cases in the ER. Experience with Cerner EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and perform 20-30 deliveries per month in a level 2 OB unit
  • Provide OB/GYN consultations for cases presenting in the ER
  • Respond to call-back situations as needed for patient care
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols and compliance standards


Additional Information

  • Must have an active Illinois medical license, DEA, CSR, ACLS, and BLS certifications
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Minimum of 1 year post-training experience required
  • No NICU coverage or circumcisions required
