Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment in Missouri. This role involves providing advanced neonatal care in multiple NICU settings across a regional system, including delivering care for critically ill and premature newborns, and managing admissions and stabilization. The schedule will consist of 12 and 24-hour shifts on an as-needed basis, providing an opportunity for flexible coverage.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide advanced neonatal care across a regional system in multiple NICU settings.
- Work across multiple primary facilities, including Level IIIB, IIIA, and II NICUs with well-baby coverage.
- Deliver care for critically ill and premature newborns in Level II–III NICUs.
- Participate in in-house coverage shifts (12-hour and 24-hour).
- Support well-baby nursery coverage as needed.
- Manage admissions, daily care, and stabilization of neonates.
- Respond to neonatal emergencies and transfers within the system.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety.
