Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Physician for a 260-day assignment in Virginia, starting Jan 4, 2027. The schedule involves consistent daytime hours, typically 8a-5p. This role focuses on comprehensive breast imaging interpretation, performing advanced image-guided interventions, and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Read and interpret screening and diagnostic 3D digital mammography (tomosynthesis), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
- Perform image-guided breast interventions, including stereotactic biopsies (prone and upright), ultrasound-guided biopsies, MRI-guided biopsies, and needle/wire localizations.
- Participate in breast tumor boards and collaborate directly with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and primary care providers.
- Oversee diagnostic workups for recalled screening patients and ensure compliance with MQSA and ACR guidelines.
