Job Description

Our client in Illinois is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join their team for an 18-day assignment starting Jul 1, 2026. This role involves weekend coverage from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM, performing Cath Lab procedures for inpatients, covering STEMI call, and providing comprehensive interventional cardiology services including cardiac catheterizations and PCI procedures. The Physician will also manage the hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program and consult with other teams.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform Cath Lab procedures for inpatients as needed.
  • Provide STEMI call coverage.
  • Deliver full Interventional Cardiology coverage, including cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and related interventional procedures.
  • Cover the hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients.
  • Perform any required Cath Lab procedures for inpatients.
  • Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients.
  • Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists.
