Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a 12-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, commencing May 8, 2026. This role involves a Monday through Friday 7a-5p schedule with evening call, plus weekend call. The Physician will focus on Cath Labs, including tandem heart and TriClip procedures, managing interventional patients with no same-day discharge protocols.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monday through Friday 7a-5p with call 5p-7a
  • Weekend call
  • Perform Cath Labs procedures
  • Conduct tandem heart procedures
  • Perform TriClip procedures (recently approved)
  • Manage interventional patients, ensuring no same day discharge
  • Work within a Cardiac step-down unit, post intervention
  • Adhere to Cardiac Cath lab accreditation standards (Chest pain and cardiac lab accreditation through the ACC)
  • Maintain an average door to balloon time for STEMI cases of 53 minutes
