Job Description

Our client in South Dakota is actively seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a 149-day assignment starting Sep 1, 2026. This role involves managing a diverse patient caseload, including trauma, common illnesses, and injuries, with responsibilities for responding to codes within a inpatient unit. The schedule offers flexibility with 12-hour shifts, either 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage trauma cases.
  • Provide comprehensive care for common conditions including UTIs, abdominal pain, colds, flu, COVID-19, ear infections, sore throats, sports injuries, and broken bones.
  • Address acute presentations such as stitches, chest pain, heart attack, and stroke, with cardiologist consultation available for tele-monitoring and transfer coordination for full-blown cardiac or stroke events.
  • Utilize on-site X-ray and lab services for diagnostics.
  • Coordinate with an established ambulance company.
  • Respond to codes within the inpatient unit.
