Physician - General Surgeon

Job Description

Our client in Michigan is actively seeking a General Surgeon for a 90-day assignment beginning Jun 1, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts from 7a-7a, covering a Trauma center. The physician will handle in-hospital consults, ED trauma and general surgery call, transfer call center patients, and a range of adult and trauma general surgical cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide coverage for in-hospital consults, ED trauma, and general surgery call
• Manage transfer call center patients
• Perform adult general surgical cases
• Perform trauma general surgical cases
• Execute central line insertions
• Execute chest tube insertions
• Perform abdominal procedures
• Manage vascular access devices
• Perform cholecystectomies
