Job Description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 90-day assignment in Texas. This on-site role involves working various shifts, including nights and weekends, typically from 7a-7p or 7p-7a. The physician will manage a broad range of medical complaints and basic trauma cases, performing essential procedures such as intubation, fracture reduction, and suture repair to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and manage acute medical complaints, including chest pain, abdominal pain, and shortness of breath.
- Address and treat basic trauma cases such as falls, motor vehicle collisions, and sports-related injuries.
- Perform essential emergency procedures like intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction and splinting, chest tube insertion, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, suture repair, incision and drainage, and central line placement, with severe or penetrating trauma cases being uncommon.

- Patient Volume: Approximately 55-60 patients daily, averaging 2 patients per hour, with occasional periods seeing 8 or more patients in an hour.
