Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Minnesota, starting Mar 9, 2026. This opportunity offers 12-hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a), with a schedule of 6 to 8 shifts per month, supported by a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care within a community-based clinical environment
  • Manage a broad range of acute cases typical for Emergency Medicine
  • Collaborate closely with support staff including respiratory therapists, psychiatry, teleintensivists, orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, CRNA, and mid-level providers
  • Participate in a flexible schedule with both day and night shifts as needed
  • Demonstrate a strong preference for candidates with Emergency Medicine training or Family Practice with significant emergency department experience
  • Adapt to clinical settings and protocols with a preference for experience in Minnesota or adjacent states


Additional Information

  • Current Minnesota medical license required (or ability to obtain before start)
  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • DEA registration required
  • Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, ATLS or CALS
  • Experience at community healthcare sites strongly preferred
