Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan. This opportunity begins on Mar 29, 2026, and is a 1-day contract with available 12- or 24-hour shifts. The assignment involves delivering emergency care in a fast-paced environment and requires current MI licensure, board certification in Emergency Medicine, and BLS and ATLS certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide acute care to patients presenting with diverse emergency conditions
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, and interventions appropriate to emergency medicine
  • Coordinate with nursing and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Document all patient encounters in accordance with facility protocols
  • Adhere to current standards of emergency medical care and maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine (no board eligible)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience required for IM/FM candidates
  • Current and unrestricted Michigan medical license required at time of name clear
  • BLS and ATLS certifications required
  • Must have a clean background to facilitate expedited credentialing
  • Provider must be local to Michigan
