Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan starting Jan 31, 2026. This opportunity features a 20-day contract with flexible 12- or 24-hour shift options, including both day and night coverage. Qualified candidates must hold ABEM or AOBEM certification, a current MI license, and proof of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) from residency. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
  • Perform patient assessments, stabilize, and manage urgent and emergent cases
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and best practices


Additional Information

  • ABEM or AOBEM board certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required
  • Must possess a current Michigan medical license
  • Open to new graduates
  • Family Medicine or Internal Medicine candidates will not be considered
