Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for an assignment in California, starting Aug 1, 2026. This role involves working 6 twelve-hour shifts per month, from 11a-11p, focusing on a variety of urgent care needs, sick visits, and assisting with triage within a trauma center environment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work 6 twelve-hour shifts per month, 11a-11p, in POD B with an RN.
  • Manage cases such as belly pain, blood work, prescription refills, sick visits, and low-risk chest pain.
  • Participate in a trauma center environment.
  • Address a range of emergent cases including chest pain or pressure, uncontrolled bleeding, severe pain, coughing or vomiting blood, large open wounds, changes in mental status, sudden changes in vision, difficulty breathing, major burns, sudden dizziness or weakness, severe injuries, and loss of consciousness.
  • Perform triage for the waiting room in POD C, including taking intakes and placing patients in the ER.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification required in Family Medicine.
