Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment with our client in Pennsylvania, starting Oct 23, 2026. This role involves nighttime shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, focusing on critical cardiothoracic surgery procedures, including vein harvesting, managing urgent cases from the cath lab to surgery, and overseeing patient transitions from ICU to home, with surgeon backup readily available.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform special procedures, including vein harvesting.
• Manage urgent cardiothoracic surgery cases, transitioning patients from the cath lab to surgery.
• Handle cases where stable patients may wait until Monday for surgery.
• Oversee patient care transitions from the ICU to home.
• Collaborate with surgeons, who provide backup after initial consults.
