Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment in California, starting Jul 13, 2026. In this role, you will assist with cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, participate in daily rounds, write notes on post-operative patients, and manage follow-up clinics on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The typical shift is 7a-5p, followed by night call until 7a.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist with cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including approximately 10-11 heart surgeries per month and other thoracic cases.
  • Participate in daily morning rounds.
  • Write notes on post-operative patients, sometimes as a shared duty with surgeons.
  • Manage follow-up clinics at the hospital on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, seeing up to 6 patients.
  • Address occasional patient issues outside of scheduled clinic days.
