Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Description

Our client in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 90-day assignment starting Nov 2, 2026. This role involves managing patient care before, during, and after surgeries of the heart, lungs, and chest, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, complemented by night and weekend call requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide first assistance in surgical procedures
• Conduct patient evaluations
• Perform patient rounding
• Insert and remove chest tubes

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Cardiothoracic Surgery
• EMR: Epic
• Call Schedule: Includes night call from 3 PM to 7 AM and 24-hour weekend call from 7 AM to 7 AM.
