Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment in North Carolina. Our client offers flexible scheduling, ideally 7 on 7 off, with preferred night shifts from 10p to 8a or mid-shifts from 2p to 12a. This vital role involves comprehensive inpatient cardiology care, including diagnostic interpretations, stress test supervision, and performing minor procedures such as central and arterial line placements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide inpatient cardiology care
- Interpret EKGs
- Supervise and interpret stress tests (exercise and pharmacologic)
- Support echocardiogram ordering and interpretation
- Review Holter and event monitors
- Perform suture removal and wound care for post-surgical cardiac patients
- Place central lines
- Place arterial lines
- Remove femoral and radial sheaths after cardiac catheterization
- Perform cardioversions
