Job Description

Our client in New York is seeking a Physician specializing in Anesthesiology for a 60-day assignment beginning Jun 15, 2026. This role requires covering bread and butter surgical cases, with the highest volume in orthopedic and general surgery, acting as the primary anesthesiologist. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with on-call duties, including OB, as an essential component of the role, contributing to a multi-disciplinary OR team.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary anesthesiologist for bread and butter surgical cases, with a high volume in orthopedic and general surgery.
  • Participate in essential on-call duties, including OB, requiring a response within 15 minutes.
  • Execute assignments as directed by the Chief or Acting Chief of Anesthesiology.
  • Collaborate collegially as part of a multi-disciplinary OR team.
  • Perform a range of bread and butter surgical procedures, excluding CT, neuro, or cranial cases.
  • Perform preferred procedures including OB/Gyn, ortho, general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular, colo-rectal surgery, ENT, GI, and Urology cases.
