Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, starting Feb 2, 2026. This full-time opportunity offers flexible scheduling and features a 1:8 call rotation with a post-call day off. The assignment involves a comprehensive scope of anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures, with one day of orientation prior to starting. Experience with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide full-scope anesthesia care for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures
  • Manage anesthesia for a variety of hospital-based cases
  • Maintain current competence and experience with at least 100 or more hospital anesthesiology cases within the past 12 months
  • Complete all required documentation in Epic EMR
  • Participate in call rotation and post-call responsibilities
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols


Additional Information

  • U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent required
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-approved residency in Anesthesiology
  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Michigan and a Controlled Substance License
  • PALS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • IMLC considered
