We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in South Carolina starting May 1, 2026. This opportunity offers 24-hour clinic and surgical coverage with shifts from 0700 to 1530 EST, seven days a week, supporting a variety of operative and procedural cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for cardiac, orthopedic joint replacement, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, urologic, and ophthalmologic operations
Deliver anesthesia care for patients undergoing electroconvulsive therapy and procedures in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, gastrointestinal, and radiological suites
Offer primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay unit, acute and chronic pain management, and emergency airway management
Perform diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography for medical and surgical patients
Provide consultative services at the bedside for non-ambulatory patients and in the clinic setting for ambulatory patients
Adhere to all established medication policies and procedures, with no sample medications provided
Deliver discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting
Ensure timely communication of test results in accordance with VHA directives
Additional Information
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology required (ABA)
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
All continuing education for certifications must be current and verifiable annually
Must be licensed to practice medicine in any state
