Job Description

We are seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a 96-day locum tenens assignment in Florida. This opportunity starts on Mar 16, 2026, and features Monday to Friday shifts (10s and/or 12s) with required weekend call. The role involves a diverse case mix including general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, neuro, spines, trauma, and healthy pediatrics, primarily within a large surgical center setting. Candidates must have an active Florida license and be comfortable participating in a weekend call rotation as detailed below.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday; 10s and/or 12s. Minimum 16 shifts per month plus required weekend call (2 weekend days per month, one Saturday and one Sunday). Call is beeper-based with variable hours depending on call order (2nd/3rd call: 24h, 4th: 14h, 5th/6th: 10h). After completing cases on call days, CRNAs may go home; some call tiers are not recalled after leaving.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical cases including robotics, general surgery, neuro, spines, burns, plastics, GYN, OB (limited), trauma, vascular, orthopedics, and healthy pediatrics
  • Participate in a structured weekend call rotation as required
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical and anesthesia team
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical standards during all perioperative phases
  • Utilize Ipro EMR and Epic for documentation and patient management
  • Adhere to protocols for credentialing and compliance, including maintaining a clean background


Additional Information

  • Must have active Florida CRNA license
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Board Certified required
  • Average time to credentialing: 90 days
  • Facility includes 15 operating rooms, 4 endoscopy suites, 2 cath labs, and 2 OB suites
  • OB delivery average: 200 per month
  • Candidates must be willing and able to participate in weekend call rotation as described
