Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting 09/01/2025. This opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule, with shifts typically lasting 6-8 hours from 8 am to 5 pm. The primary focus is on GI cases, with potential opportunities in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, GYN, and podiatry. The CRNA will work independently, providing unsupervised anesthesia care. Experience with regional blocks is beneficial but not required. This role offers flexibility, with options for full-time GI anesthesia or a combination of GI and multidisciplinary outpatient surgery. There is potential for assignment extension.


Job Details:

Location: California

Start Date: 09/01/2025

LOA: 30 days (with potential for extension)

Provider Type Needed: CRNA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (6-8 hour shifts)


Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide independent, unsupervised anesthesia care for various surgical procedures

• Focus primarily on GI cases, with potential for other specialties

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

• Administer and monitor anesthesia during procedures

• Perform regional blocks as needed (experience helpful but not required)

• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients' recovery

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

• Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in anesthesiology
