Job Description

Our client in West Virginia is seeking a qualified Urgent Care Physician for a 72-day locum tenens assignment starting on Sep 1, 2025. The successful candidate will work shifts from Monday to Sunday, 8 am to 8 pm. This role involves managing typical urgent care responsibilities such as treating cold/flu symptoms, performing minor orthopedic procedures, and wound care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Treat patients presenting with symptoms such as cold, flu, rashes, and minor burns.
  • Perform orthopedic procedures like splinting.
  • Provide care for lacerations, abrasions, and sprains.
  • Manage patient cases that may require referral to emergency services.
  • Ensure comprehensive patient care for all age groups.


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in emergency medicine or have relevant urgent care certification.
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine.
  • Proficient in the use of the EMR system, Epic.
