Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in West Virginia, starting Sep 1, 2025. This role involves daily shifts from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., where the provider will manage typical urgent care duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • See patients with conditions such as cold/flu symptoms, rashes, lacerations, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns.
  • Perform orthopedic procedures like splinting and provide wound care.
  • Handle typical urgent care assignments; refer high acuity cases to the local emergency room.
  • Ensure treatment of patients across all age groups.


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM) or family/internal medicine (ABFM/ABIM) with required experience in urgent care or emergency settings.
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is essential.
  • Minimum commitment: 3 shifts per month consistently.
