Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in West Virginia, starting on Sep 1, 2025. This role involves day shifts from Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. The Physician will handle typical urgent care duties including care for patients with a variety of non-life-threatening medical conditions. This opportunity requires comfort with orthopedic procedures and wound care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assess and treat a range of conditions including colds, flu, rashes, and minor burns
  • Perform minor orthopedic procedures such as splinting
  • Manage wounds including lacerations and abrasions
  • Refer high-acuity cases to local emergency rooms as necessary
  • Maintain patient records through the Epic EMR system


Additional Information

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in emergency medicine or 2 years in urgent care required
  • Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages
  • Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS
  • Must hold a valid medical license for West Virginia
