Job Description

We are looking for an Urgent Care Physician to join our team in West Virginia for a 72-day locum tenens assignment starting on Sep 1, 2025. This position involves comprehensive urgent care duties, including handling minor acute health issues and performing basic orthopedic procedures, with shifts from Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate and treat patients with cold/flu symptoms, rashes, lacerations, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns.
  • Perform orthopedic procedures like splinting.
  • Provide wound care management.
  • Refer high acuity cases to the local emergency room.
  • Ensure consistent patient care across all ages.


Additional Information

  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must be comfortable with the Epic EMR system.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine or 2 years in urgent care.
  • West Virginia medical license required.
