Wellhart is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a 90-day locum tenens assignment at a clinic in Virginia. Starting on 09/15/2025, this position requires coverage for five 8-hour shifts per week, with exact hours to be determined. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with adult and pediatric outpatient care, gynecological procedures, and minor surgical procedures. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive urgent care services, performing various medical procedures, and utilizing the Epic EMR system. This opportunity offers a potential for extension beyond the initial 90-day period.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide adult outpatient care without ICU/CCU involvement
• Offer general outpatient pediatric care
• Perform gynecological procedures, including pelvic exams and Pap smears
• Conduct minor surgical procedures such as suturing of minor lacerations and incision & drainage
• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and management
• Adapt to a fast-paced urgent care environment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in Virginia
• Flexibility in scheduling is appreciated, but only 5x8 hour shift arrangements will be considered
• Experience in urgent care or similar fast-paced medical settings is preferred
