Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in South Carolina. This opportunity begins Nov 1, 2025, and features 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Saturday, with a shorter shift on Sundays. The position involves treating patients ages 3 months and older in a typical urgent care setting, requiring comfort with pediatric cases and proficiency in a broad range of acute care procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care services for patients ages 3 months and older
  • Close lacerations and perform incision and drainage (I&D) procedures
  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs
  • Manage work-related injuries and workers' compensation cases
  • Utilize Practice Velocity EMR for documentation
  • DOT certification and work comp experience are considered a plus


Additional Information

  • Physicians must have 3-6 years of Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care experience
  • Must be comfortable treating pediatric patients from 3 months old
  • Active South Carolina medical license required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care is required
