Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 8am-8pm; full-time (12+ shifts per month) or part-time (10+ shifts per month)
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
Diagnose and manage a variety of acute medical conditions
Perform orthopedic procedures, including splinting
Deliver wound care, including suturing, incision and drainage
Order and interpret X-rays and EKGs as needed
Draw blood, start IVs, and administer injections
Work independently without supervision
Travel between clinic sites within a 30-mile radius
Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation
Additional Information
Minimum 2 years experience in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine required
Must hold a current West Virginia state license and DEA registration
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
CSR license required
Must submit a recent NPDB self-query (within 30 days)
Must be comfortable treating pediatric and adult patients
